Unforgettable family holidays on Crete

Our family has spent in June this year 12 days in Villa Olympia. It was our first vacation in Greece and we loved it. The weather in June was ideal: not too hot, every day blue sky and sunshine. We could ideally connect all together: the beach, the swimming pool and relexation and on the other hand active holidays with visits in museums (i.e. Knossos) and excursions to the Samaria Canyon, the longest canyon in Europe and a protected National Park. We started our day always with morning run in the area and my husband went three times for a bike training with the owner of the villa, Axel Werner. Our two children enjoyed the swimming pool every day, almost every minute and it was difficult to motivate them to leave the house or the pool. The description of the property was correct! The sea-view is even more beautiful in reality. The owner was very nice and we were able to create a friendship. We will certainly come again, perhaps in 2016!

Perfect weather - Dream location - Stylish Villa

We had a wonderful time with perfect spring temperatures, reminding us of the summer temperatures at home! The location of the holiday home is gorgeous with unforgettable sunsets from the veranda, experienced before only in Santorini. Quiet traditional village atmosphere, but in a few minutes you can get to Rethymno in the tourism bustle when you want. Beautiful sandy beaches are also just a short drive away. The holiday home has a traditional stone construction and offers a very pleasant atmosphere, which we really enjoyed. The information in the advertisement was perfect and the views from the veranda were still much better than in the photos. Contact with the owner was in perfect English and from the time of our inquiry to our departure contact was very professional but also friendly and personal. Sure we will come again! Especially spring time can be highly recommended! The nature on the island is wonderful and the weather conditions remember our summer time!

Beautiful Easter in Crete

This year we spent our Easter holidays on the island of Crete and indeed in the beautiful Villa Erato near Rethymno. The weather was already warm and our kids were looking to find chocolate Easter eggs in the garden. The location our holiday home is beautifully, situated on a hilltop of 200m altitude with breathtaking views of the sea and the snowy 2,400m high mountains. To the village center we could walk within a few minutes. Two small mini markets for our daily food in the village centre and two local taverns for dinner. We loved the village atmosphere very much. Tourism could be enjoyed in Rethymno, a drive of 10 minutes. The house was very comfortable and we did not miss anything. The landlord has welcomed us in perfect German. He gave us a lot of travel tips. We are looking forward to come back next year, perhaps again at Easter ....

A charming home with stunning sea views

In the second half of October we spent our autumn holiday in Villa Erato. The weather was gorgeous and thanks to our holiday home Erato we spent a very relaxing holiday. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and wanted hardly to leave the house. Wonderful beaches could be reached in a few minutes as well as the town of Rethymnon. In the village of Prines you could buy daily food and enjoy nice evening meals in the local taverns. The house description in Home Away was exact and the views of the ocean were magnificent. We spent a wonderful and unforgettable "Summer" and became good friends with the owners. Contact was in perfect German, nice, friendly and very professional. We are happy to come back next year to Crete in our stone villa Erato!

Villa with breathtaking sea view

The welcome greeting was very friendl with fruit basket and local wine. We immediately felt comfortable in the tastefully furnished stone villa with 50cm thick stone walls! Our holiday home was very clean and well maintened as well as the beautiful swimming pool in the garden. The large terrace offers breathtaking views to the hillside and the sea. The house is located in a quiet area, surrounded by other beautiful villas. You feel immersed in nature and often hear only birds. A car is recommended. You need 10 minutes drive to the historic Venetian old town of Rethymnon or to the beautiful beaches. Several times we went out for a morning run with Axel, the owner of the villa. One evening we were invited for dinner in his huse in Atsipopoulo. We will certainly go again in this great holiday destination.

Traditional, nice and comfortable House

Very spacious, comfortable and traditional holiday house. Astipopoulo is a small village with local taverns. The village is located next to Rethymno. A perfect spot for daily trips to all areas on Crete.
